Spring Break

Posted in Work on March 31, 2008 by irrational

It’s funny how vacation time for a teacher turns into the time we get all the stuff done we can’t while we’re working.  I haven’t really cleaned my house well since Christmas break, and cleaning is #1 on my list for Monday.  I’ll also be visiting the eye doctor, getting an oil change, and cooking meals over this next week.  Sadly, my break will probably be just about as busy as any work week.  However, I’ll get to wear my pajamas for most of it :)

Sprucing Things Up

Things have changed around here, and husband and I have reconciled ourselves to living in this house for the next 2-3 years.  As a result, we’ve decided to spruce up our house a bit with some painting.  Anyone know of good websites to check out color schemes and get ideas?

Sick Part II

Just a follow up on being sick.  I’ve now decided that this “sick” was a pretend sick and resulted from some of the shots I had for Rwanda a few weeks ago.  They told us to expect flu-like symptoms in about two weeks, and I was only feeling sick for about a day and a half.  What felt like it was going to be a huge run with the cold symptoms turned into two days of a sore throat and runny nose.  I was back to normal today and lifted weights with the husband.  Yay!

Sick

It’s nice how the kids will tend to be nicer to you when you’re not feeling well.  My kids were talkative as all get out today, but they were at least extra nice to me when I told them I wasn’t feeling well.  Unfortunately, I’m not sure hwo many days this week I can pull that card.  I’d better get healthy soon!

Well, I think I’m pretty sure I now want to do something that involves textbooks.  I LOVE looking at textbooks!
